Project Description
SOCIAL MEDIA
During my time at SCRA I spearheaded all of the digital marketing. At the time SCRA had social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin, but was not actively posting or engaging with their audience. I created content and launched strategies that increased awareness of SCRA programs and initiatives.
I used Trello to manage and create a content calendar. The director could follow along and see any campaigns before they launched. I used Hootsuite to schedule posts and the Bitly/ Google campaign link builder tool to track clicks and traffic back to the website.
Content:
4 main content buckets for scheduling posts:
- SCRA programs
- SC Launch Client Company News
- Resource Partner Network News/ Events
- State Partners in Innovation News and Events
GRAPHICS
Below is a sample of graphics created for social media posts.
RESULTS
2K
SCRA accounts had around 1K followers. All growth was organic and we reached over 2K followers after 1 year.
Launched a new hashtag #fuelingSCinnovation
SCRA social media started receiving a lot more engagement. Creating the content calendar on Trello allowed me to stay organized when it came time to send the quarterly email newsletter, which always included a “Client Companies in the News” section. I could look back at my Trello board and copy news articles or press releases to share the links in the email newsletter.
I used Tweetdeck and had a column with a list for all SC Launch Client Companies, a column for state partners and entrepreneurship organizations, and a column for SCRA resource partners. I could easily monitor any social media activity and quickly retweet or share posts. Since I spent time planning content on the front end and stayed organized, these activities only took up about 20% of my overall job at SCRA.
EVENTS SERIES
Below is a sample of graphics I created for digital marketing for the SC Launch Annual Summit.
I also managed the email marketing for the event, set up the Eventbrite page and created the program. We had a great turnout and received good feedback from the event.
